Hello there, I’m Lindsay!
I love diet coke. I think jeans are the devils work. Sometimes I make babies, two at a time. And I love a good adventure!
That is me in four sentences, but I suppose I could elaborate just a little more. 🙂
I was born and raised barefoot and fearing God on a North Dakota farm where I enjoyed working cattle and playing football in the yard with my dad and sister. My mama taught me how to bargain shop, and do it well.
I went to school in the rural town of Gackle, N.D where I have lived since day one. I graduated in 2011 with 4 other kids in my class and moved to Fargo, N.D., to go to school at Minnesota State University of Moorhead where I graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Photojournalism.
My dad, my favorite person in the world, died in 2009, suddenly and unexpectedly. Life stopped and changed. I learned to grieve, and continue to.
In 2009 I met Brandon. When I say met, I mean we saw each other at a wedding dance, and he proceeded to find me on Facebook and talk to me on there. Fine by me. How else are two extraordinarily shy people supposed to meet??
Three years later, on the top of a stack of hay bales, he asked me to be his wife, and I gladly accepted. A year later, we were married.
After graduating from college I moved to Tappen, ND to live on the Stroh family farm. I continued my summer internship, which then became a full-time job, in my hometown of Gackle at the local newspaper. A huge newspaper it is. Over 500 subscribers and counting…
In October of 2014 Brandon and I found out we were expecting a baby! And in February of 2015 we found out that our baby was actually two babies! TWIN GIRLS!!! Our girls, Rikki Jo and Ruby Mae, graced us with their presence 5 weeks early on May 17, 2015. They keep me on my toes, but they are the light of my life!
In January 2018 my bestie and I started up a vintage rental company called Art & Andy Vintage . We started off by decorating a friends wedding (who I also photographed. Yay Whitney & Tom!) and peoples interest in us has gown every year since!
On September 19, 2018 our son, August Dean, was brought into the world! He is so content and smiley and still is to this day. He chases his sisters around all day and climbs up on everryyythinggggg.
In between photographing, decorating and making cute babies has been many travel adventures! My sister and I and two other friends took a trip to Iceland for 10 days and every since then there has just been a need for travel in my blood! Though we haven’t traveled out of the country since Iceland, there has been just as awesome of trips like when we went to the PNW and to the Smoky Mountains!
If you have read this far you deserve a pat on the back. I just wanted to share a bit about me and my life. Hope you enjoyed!
xoxo
